"About Us"
| Hello! We are Vida and Frank Ellis of Locust Grove, Georgia.
We live on 26 acres in south Henry County Georgia which is about 45 minutes
south of downtown Atlanta. My husband Frank and I are both retired and spend
most of our time caring for and loving our dogs. He keeps the home fires
burning when I am away at dog shows. It takes 2 to adequately care for and love
the dogs if we are to be involved in showing. I am beginning to show some of
my own dogs after attending classes for about a year with Helen Remelayh. It is
a dream for me to finish a dog from the Bred By Exhibitor class.

OUR PAST
I have been involved in showing and breeding of dogs since the late 1940's as my
father showed and bred Cocker Spaniels and I began in what was called
"Children's Handling" before you had AKC numbers or had to send in an entry to
show in this class. In my early adult years I was busy raising my children and only had pets which
was Dachshounds.

OUR START IN PAPILLONS
About 7 years ago my husband thought we should have a Papillon as he liked their
attitude. I was luckily able to purchase a nice female from Carole Bixier -
Pixiedust Jewel of Tallis, a nice female from Bruce & Marie Smith - Tallis
AnaMarie of Highwinds. AnaMarie produced our first homebred Champion with
Tallis Beaux of Monarch who is Ch. Tallis Sky Wyndsong Serenade who is owned and
loved by Scott & Cheryl Hazen. . I was entrusted with a beautiful black
& white male by Vanessa DeShong who is now Ch. Dawndee H'Breakers Ebony and
also a gorgeous sable & white male from Rita Koy who now has 7 points -
Majestic Joy World Player. I very much appreciate these dedicated breeders who
entrusted me with these lovely dogs that has started me on a sound breeding
program. We have a litter now that is about 14 weeks old from AnaMarie and Ebony. Look
for them at upcoming shows in the winter of 2006. Most of these Champions have
been shown and finished by my friend Karen Crane.

OUR START IN SHIH TZU
I continued to attend dog shows from time to time but didn't show until about 5
years ago after purchasing a puppy from Sherrie McGee. He quickly became Ch.
LunLynn's Real Cool Dude and was showed expertly by Karen Crane. I also
purchased a nice female from her Lun Lynn's Sugar Time Gal who did not really
like the show scene. My dear friend Carol Valentine allowed me to breed her to
her Ch. Valentine's Rocket Scientist and we were blessed with the puppy who is
now Ch. Tallis Rousing Rocket Flare "Norris". He finished #18 in 2004 and all his points
were gotten from the puppy class. |

The Flemings

A FAMILY AFFAIR
The Flemings are my daughter Dawn, husband Jim with daughters Hannah and
Morgan. She and her family are the ones who "dog sit" once a year for us to go
on vacation. Dawn knows every dog by name along with their likes and dislikes.
Becca is my oldest granddaughter who has gone to many dog shows with me as my
"kennel help". She also helps me from time to time with clean up. Dawn's girls
are now 14 and 8 and Becca is 16. Ana use whatever of these pictures you
think would be good. I don't have any of my grandson who is 21. Our dogs are
definitely a family affair. |
